Climate Information

North County
North County draws a crowd that enjoys hot summer days in the pool, warm evenings on the porch and cool winters. Perfect for wine country, horses, BBQ’s, boating, golfing, whatever inspires you. The climate can still vary from one end of the map to the other. The closer you go to the ocean the cooler and visa versa.

Inland Area
This area sits right in between the North County and the Coast. It is a blend of both climates. The temperatures don’t fluctuate as much as the north county and the ocean is close enough to cool you off a bit but not block out the sun. You can still find some wineries and are close enough for day trips to the beach.

Coastal Area
The coast is one of the hardest places to explain. Most people think of sunbathing and surfing, both of which you can enjoy, but there is also another side to coastal living. Since there are mountain ranges that separate the coast from inland the weather can very dramatically in a few miles. Some days it is 100o Fahrenheit inland and the coast is nice and cool because of the marine layer (fog). On a whole the coastal area is more temperate. (60F-75F) The temperatures from summer to winter are not as extreme as the inland areas, but there are few things that are more breath taking the watching the sun set over the Pacific Ocean.
